Privacy Policy
Last updated September 29, 2026
This policy explains what data is involved when you use this site. The short version: your plate never leaves your device, and we collect nothing from you.
Your plate never leaves your device
When you check a plate, everything happens in your browser. The site never receives, stores, or logs the plate you type. Instead, your browser computes a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of the plate and asks the server for just the first three characters of that hash — a short prefix that cannot be reversed back into the plate. Each check starts from scratch on your device.
The list is public data
The list itself is not private or hidden: the lookup files this site serves (the shards) are publicly downloadable, and the underlying data is published openly by the State of Israel on its open-data portal, data.gov.il. Nothing here restricts anyone's access to that public information.
What we collect
We use no analytics, cookies, or tracking of any kind. Using the site collects no personal data from you. Standard infrastructure logs (such as your IP address, the time of the request, and the requested URL) may be generated automatically by the hosting provider; we do not collect or review them.
Retention and access
Infrastructure logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider's standard policy requires, and are then deleted. Access to them is limited to the site owner and the hosting provider (Cloudflare), solely for operating and securing the service.
Data source and purpose
The list of plates registered with a disability tag comes from the State of Israel's open-data portal (data.gov.il). It is used for one purpose only — the one this site exists for: answering whether a given plate appears in that public list. The data is refreshed daily. Our use of the data complies with the terms of use of the data.gov.il portal. Terms of use of data.gov.il
Your rights
Because the site stores no personal data about you, there is nothing of yours for us to access or correct. If you nonetheless believe we hold personal data about you, you have the right to request access to it, its correction, or its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, send us an email (see below) with a clear description of your request.
